Courtship, refer to the period of romantic relationship before marriage OR is the act of paying attention to somebody with a view of developing more intimate relationship. The following are some of the importance of courtship,
First, it enables partners to understand their problems also their weaknesses, hence through this it will enable partners to form a good relationship as long as they are understanding each other’s weaknesses and problem it will help they to stay long in their marriage.
Second, it helps partners to learn about each other’s feelings, attitudes etc. via courtship helps partners to learn many thing from each other and because of that it help them to cope with each other’s behavior and sometimes helps to change their behavior.
Third, it gives couples (partners) time to think about marriage , courtship also provide a time to partners to think deep and realize if they are real need to get marriage hence sometimes people get marriage by influence and because of that their marriage not survive long and they get divorce.
Forth, it helps the couples to maintain the self-discipline, this helps to prevent a partner from finding other men and women in the streets by fearing that he/she will be noted by her/his fiancé and causes their relationship to be stopped. So, this situation helps many partners to reach in their plans of living as husband and wife.
It helps couples to find other requirements for the life, to be in the relationship before marrying each other, it gives a room for one side either a man or a woman to prepare him/herself better for making sure that each and everything in the house is available so as to live better life with his wife or her husband when will be living together.
