WHAT ARE YOUR ADVISES ON THE MEASURES TO BE TAKEN TO AVOID ROAD ACCIDENTS IN YOUR COMMUNITY

            Road accident is a collision or similar incident involving moving vehicles, resulting in property damage, personal injury or death. Road accidents in our country and other parts of Africa are a big problem which causes the people to lose their lives due to carelessness of the drivers and passengers. Apart from that, the following are some causes of road accident like, high speed of vehicles, the drivers to despise road signs, ignorance of the people on uses of roads, etc. the following are the advises to be given to community on the measures to be taken to avoid road accidents;
            Vehicles must be inspected before they get journey, many of the accidents in Tanzania and other parts of the world occurred due to irresponsibility of our traffic policemen to allow a car to start a journey without inspecting it if is over weighed or not, or qualification of the driver to drive the car including licenses, and other similar things but what they think much is corruption from the drivers. 
Driving license should be issued to qualified people only; the government should make sure that the license is being given to a driver who had qualified on his course instead of providing the license without looking the qualification of the driver. So, doing that can cause many accidents in the roads and deaths of the people.
The disabled, children, and the elderly should be helped to cross roads; the people should be able to help those people who cannot cross the road alone so as to avoid the unnecessary accident. For example, children and blind people should be held their hands when crossing the roads.
The drivers should not drive while drunk, in experience, many accidents occur in the roads due to carelessness of the drivers while driving the car. For example, our drivers drive the car whiles he/she drunk. So this is very dangerous to the life of passengers who are in the car. Therefore, government should punish severely to those drivers who drive a car while drunk so as to be lesson to others.
All roads users should be aware of traffic rules and use them accordingly, some accidents are being caused by the pedestrians due to their ignorance on the uses of the roads. For example, a pedestrian can cross the roads without looking both sides hence they being knocked. Therefore, in order to void it, the people should be educated on the uses of roads like to cross the roads, and other similar things.
Therefore, government and the users of roads including drivers and pedestrians should take measures on the uses of roads and punishment should be taken to anyone who misuses the road in order to avoid unnecessary accidents.
