Invitation to apply for Swahili for Foreigners Program (2016)
Dar es Salaam University College of Education, a constituent college of the University of Dar Salaam, invites applications for admission into Kiswahili for Foreigners Program. The program is designed for foreigners who either have a certain level of Kiswahili proficiency or cannot speak Kiswahili but would like to know Kiswahili for specific purposes. The program comprises six courses which are divided into three levels: beginners, intermediate and advanced levels. Each course takes 45 hours. Applicants can attend either from 14th November, 2016 to 17th February 2017; or on 20th February 2017 to 20th May, 2017 or on 2nd September 2017 to 4th October 2017 during the long vacation.
Fee Structure per level: Beginners: 600 USD; Intermediate: 500 USD; Advanced: 500 USD. (There are six courses, two for each level). Fee Structure per hour: Beginners: 17 USD; intermediate: 14 USD; Advanced 14 USD. A trip to a tourist area: Bagamoyo: USD 200; Zanzibar: USD 250; Tanga: USD 300.
